Project Title: Liberia Yekepa-Buchanan Logistics Project EPA permitting
Background
Ivanhoe Liberia is a private company and a subsidiary of High Power Exploration Inc. (HPX). The company is engaged with the Government of Liberia to conclude an Access and Concession Agreement for the Yekepa-Buchanan rail and port infrastructure and the development of the Liberty Corridor, to support the high-grade iron ore deposits from its Kon Kweni mine project in south-eastern Guinea. HPX also owns the St. John River iron ore exploration licences in central Liberia, with a reserve potential of over 650 million tonnes. HPX is committed to implementing these projects, leading to sustainable economic growth in the West Africa region and positively benefitting Liberia and Guinea.
Invitation to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Liberia Certified Independent EPA Evaluators
Ivanhoe Liberia is delighted to invite eligible EPA-certified consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing consulting services to assist with the company’s Liberia YekepaBuchanan Logistics Project EPA permitting process. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications, competencies and relevant experience to perform the required services.
The shortlist criteria should include experience with the following aspects:
• Environment and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), including IFC Performance Standard experience
• Environment Management Plans
• Marine Science
Consultants will be evaluated in accordance with professional standards, qualifications and
experiences which best meet the needs of the project.
Pre-selected short-listed consultants will then be invited to submit a proposal in response to a call to tender for the EPA permitting scope of work. Consultants whose EOIs are unsuccessful will be informed. All EOIs must be received to the address below no late than Sunday November 3, 2024 at 11:59pm GMT:
